Weekly Updates 1/26/15 - 2/1/15
New Circulation Coordinator
Lisa Bilowith will be starting this week as a circulation coordinator. She is a Champlain alumnus and has a wealth of experience working with youth. Her normal schedule will be on Sundays and Monday nights, so if you work with her, please welcome her back to Champlain and help her if she has circulation questions.
New Lab Monitor
Matt Fortier is a new lab monitor in the library. He will be working on Tuesday nights this semester. Please welcome Matt to the team and help answer any questions he may have.
St. John's Bible
The library will be hosting the St. John's Bible in a display case on the first floor. A case will arrive on January 12, and the actual bible will arrive on January 19. You can find more information about the bible at St. John's Bible hompage.
While the bible is not going to be circulated among our regular patrons, Champlain faculty members can check the bible out to use in their classes.
Our responsibility as the Circulation Department will be to provide the key to the case for the Core Division faculty. If someone approaches you to check out the bible, please find a circulation coordinator or Joe to give them the key.
Course Reserve DVDs for ART 135
The DVDs on course reserve for ART 135 should only used in room 220 between 7 pm and 9 pm on Tuesdays and Thursday. I have blocked this time off in the study room reservation system for the class and labeled the DVDs accordingly. Please let any students know who want to watch the DVDs during those hours to go to room 220. Any other time of day, the DVDs should be treated as regular reserves.
Stall Street Journal
This semester a student will begin dropping off a copy of the Stall Street Journal for the library archivist, Erica Donnis. Please bring it to Joe so that he can give it to her once that begins.
New UVM Reciprocal Borrowing Instructions
There is a new reciprocal borrowing procedure for UVM students. Please see UVM Reciprocal Borrowing Instructions for details on the new system. The card swipe is now at the rightmost computer at the front desk and is labeled "reciprocal borrowing reader."
